Staff to get free rabies vaccination at special clinic

All LFCHD employees will be able to get FREE rabies vaccinations for their pets at the department’s annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic 6-9 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Third Street Fire Station, 219 E. Third St. All cats must be in a carrier, and all dogs must be on leashes.

Please bring your employee ID badge. Note: you must bring your animal to the event; pre-filled syringes will not be provided.

The cost for non-LFCHD pet-owners will be $3.

The clinic also provides pet owners with the opportunity to purchase an animal license, which costs $8 if the animal has been spayed or neutered. A license costs $40 if the animal has not been fixed or the owner has no proof of alteration. The Lexington Humane Society and the Lexington-Fayette County Animal Care & Control are also sponsoring the clinic.
