Employees finish YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program

Six LFCHD employees recently completed the 16-week YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program. They were identified as high risk for developing type 2 diabetes by the risk factors, and they voluntarily participated each Wednesday during their lunch time.

LFCHD hosts film screening to help fight obesity

LFCHD staff invited community members to the Lexington Public Library Downtown Branch Tuesday, July 17, to view a documentary to help the fight against obesity in Fayette County as part of the department’s Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).

Wellness portal launches

The new Employee Wellness Portal is ready for you to use!

Beginning July 18, the 214 employees that registered in the LFCHD Worksite Wellness Incentive Program will have access to the new online wellness portal. The portal allows you to take your health assessment questionnaire, view your individual report, track points and learn about events you can participate in to accumulate more points.
