The Big Latch On is August 3
The Big Latch On, an event held as part of National Breastfeeding Month (World Breastfeeding Week is Also Aug. 1-7), is designed to set a record for the most children breastfeeding simultaneously in Kentucky. The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department will partner with La Leche League of Greater Lexington and Baby Moon to host Lexington’s event, scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Baby Moon. The event highlights the importance breastfeeding has on the lifetime health of mothers and their babies. In order for moms to succeed at breastfeeding, they need the support of the entire community.
