2016 Chili Master crowned

The competition was fierce, but in the end only one person could go home with the crown.

After staff tasted the multiple batches of chili, they cast their vote for the best, and the winner was Chris Washintgton’s “Down South Sizzle.” Katrina Howard’s “White Chicken Chili” finished second.

Congratulations to the winners!

Hosted by the Employee Association, the event gave employees the chance to enjoy some chili, chat with each other, and participate in a cupcake walk.

Employees also had a chance to enter into various raffles. The winners were:
• Wear Jeans to Work: Cristina Hiten
• Wear Jeans to Work: Bailey Preston
• Ale 8 One gift basket: Liz Pfeffer

Be a part of LFCHD quality improvement

Congratulations! You have been selected to participate in an important endeavor. At the next Quality Improvement (QI) Steering Committee meeting, the team will work to identify potential quality improvement projects for 2017. The team is searching for insight and needs your help! Please contact Jeanette Hart at by COB on November 1 with any project ideas.

What kind of projects you might ask? How about a process that significantly delays your team? Maybe there is a process that works okay, but you have an idea of how it could work even better and improve efficiency. Or possibly, there is something that you really wish we could improve agency-wide. Please make all submissions fact-focused. Help the committee understand the potential issues and give suggestions for improvement. No idea is a bad idea! Your participation and contributions are greatly appreciated. If anyone has questions please feel free to contact Jeanette or Katrina.
